What is good software to record movies and for av chatting?

I have a computer with a camera and microphone and speakers. First, I would like to record movies with this setup and later do av chat.

The free app CamStudio comes to mind though, which lets you record whatever is on your computer screen. I assume you mean recording a YouTube tutorial on how to do something on the computer? I do not support making illegal copies of commercial videos and DVDs as CamStudio will lag too much to do so anyway. Hope this helps.

It records chats and calls and video as well. It is very easy to use.
