What book writing software do you use to write your books with?

I like to write books but i would like to start writing them in a real software. What do you use?What book writing software do you use to write your books with?If you already have Microsoft Word, that will serve your needs. If you don't, there's no need to pay for it. There are plenty of good free alternatives. I use OpenOffice (free download from www.openoffice.org).



I wouldn't bother with any of the programs that claim to help you write a novel. They tend to assume there's One True Way to write a novel - fine if that fits with how you write, but frustrating if it doesn't.What book writing software do you use to write your books with?
