What computer software program is best to use for a small business?

I have a hairdressing salon with seven ( 7 ) employees that I will be the new owner of starting on Jan. 1, 2011. I would like to buy some computer software that can take care of employee payroll and also possibly inventory ? Any suggestions ? I would also like to keep track of all my expenses, daily sales etc. etc.

Thanks kindly !What computer software program is best to use for a small business? There's a new one out, been seeing a lot of ads on it, but I've never really had any experience with it, so I can't vouch for it. It's called "intuit" : http://www.intuit.com/

It claims to take care of all your payroll, tax, inventory, credit card transactions, etc. so you can spend more time doing other things.

I am not sure for payroll or inventory, but if you are looking to do some TimeSheets, you can get Microsoft Excel. Also, Microsoft Office has Excel and many other great programs like Word and Outlook, so Google: "Microsoft Office" without the quotes and you should find what you are looking for. (I hope)

Hope this Helps

P.S. Microsoft Office Student edition (or Professional Edition, I'm not sure) costs about $150.00, so it is a bit pricey...What computer software program is best to use for a small business?Hi,
